Heidi’S Huggamug Cafe

While visiting Lake City for a family reunion, I stopped by Heidi’s Huggamug Café for breakfast—and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the Rise & Shine and it was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh and flavorful. You can tell they put care into every part of the meal, from the perfectly cooked eggs to the crispy hashbrowns. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy small-town charm that made me feel right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a relaxed and inviting experience from start to finish. This spot is a true gem, and I can see why it has such great ratings. If you’re in Lake City, make sure you don’t miss Heidi’s Huggamug Café. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

A great little find. We were in need of a cappuccino as we headed out of town. Was sent here by hotel and decided to stay and have a full breakfast sitting outside among the flowers. Was a great decision and referral. The omelet was fluffy and flavorful. Hubby's breakfast burrito looked great. We will definitely return when back in town. Oh, and coffee was smooth and tasty. We took home bakery items and have to say they were not as great as the sit down breakfast.

First time visit and the food was so good! Large portions and great prices. Heidi came up and introduced herself and kept our coffee cup filled. She is very warm and friendly. It is a must stop in Lake City!

Cute place with great outdoor (appeared to be heated) seating. We sat inside. Large variety of food & coffee. Great, friendly service and lots of food for price. Love the name! Had never been to Lake City, MN but would go back for Heidi's Huggamug Cafe!

You can enjoy them there (highly recommended) or, if you have superhuman willpower, take a few home. But let’s be honest — they rarely make it that far! There’s a constant stream of happy people coming through the door, all smiles and chatter, and it’s easy to see why. Cute little place across the street from the park and marina. We had coffee, veggie omelet, has browns and sausage. All very good. Don’t know why a great place like that wouldn’t have real maple syrup. The Smuckers syrup wasn’t good and I didn’t eat the pancake. Otherwise all good and recommended!

I, along with my business partner, stopped in at 6am, 5 minutes after they opened. We were on our way to MSP. I couldn't have been greeted with more warmth, excitement, and appreciation. Heidi and her team are exactly why I go out of my way to find a local place anywhere I go. If all you care about is the quality of the coffee and breakfast, then you'll also be quite satisfied. I am always in search of the best breakfast burrito, and Heidi's is top 2 all time out of 100+. Cappuccino was top notch as well. At the end of the day, we all have a choice on where we spend our time and money. I'm going with Heidi's 10/10 vs the big box brands. Thank you, Heidi & team. You made our day!

This restaurant and coffee shop is AMAZING! The lattes were delicious and the skillets were perfect. My husband said the raspberry flip is, “The best thing I’ve ever tasted”. In addition, Heidi was very kind and the service was impeccable. We will definitely return when we come back to this region.
